The Cool Kids always seem to be on a whole new level when it comes to freshness. Chuck Inglish produced almost every track on this tape and his style of beats is straight crack, just listen to Gettin’ Flicked below. You can download the whole thing at http://www.coolxkids.com

If you’ve been to any Deathstar affiliated party, more likely than not, you’ve heard “Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell” get dropped. Das Racist are the two ethnically proud comedic emcees responsible for that anthem, and it’s with my utmost excitement to big up their newest Mishka mixtape collaboration, simply entitled “Shut Up, Dude.” I’m having trouble finding words to accurately sum up this huge release, but I can say that if The Flight of the Conchords and The Cool Kids decided to have a musical love child, it would probably sound similar to this. Taco Bell Pizza Hut is included, but the following track quickly became my favorite, and after just a week, is now number one on my Top 25 Most Played on iTunes.

Check out this beat tape that the homie Shy Guy just dropped. He sampled the themes from classic James Bond films and made beats for each one. Real raw shit. You can download it for free at http://beatsjamesbeats.com.
So Jay Electronica is now my favorite MC and he should probably be yours too. Download this mixtape that DJ Dub and Furious Styles just released and you’ll understand why.

Diplo’s label Mad Decent got a bunch of their friends and affiliates to remix some Gucci Mane tracks and they are very fresh. You might recognize the Flying Lotus remix from the Adult Swim mixtape.
A Christmas gift from Don Cannon and The Cool Kids? How thoughtful of them to give us this little mixtape (and luckily none of the songs are Christmas themed, so you won’t feel weird listening to this tomorrow). You can download and preview it over at www.djdoncannon.com, but it was taking forever to load for me so feel free to grab it here.

Flying Lotus x Gucci Mane, Prefuse 73 x Shawty Lo, Starkey x Gorilla Zoe…sounds real dope right? Adult Swim and Beaterator got some of the best producers to remix some popular hip hop tracks for this free download which you can get here. Flylo’s remix of “Photoshoot” is one of the spookier things I’ve heard from him, but he still keeps it real as always. Here’s a few of my favorite tracks.
