Mount Kimbie is a duo on Hotflush Recordings that has roots in dubstep but branches out to everything from jazz, pop, and hip hop. This label has quickly become one of my favorite with their soulful yet bass heavy releases.

Curren$y’s first album on a major label, Pilot Talk, finally came out this week after being delayed. It’s full of features including Snoop Dogg, Mikey Rocks, Mos Def, Jay Electronica, Devin the Dude and others. Check out “King Kong” with one of those fresh hooks that Curren$y is known for.

Africa Hitech is a duo on Warp Records consisting of Steve Spacek and Mark Pritchard. For those familiar with the track “Wind It Up”, you know what’s up with Mark Pritchard. Together they make some spaced out funky/dancehall tracks with great detail, just listen to all the sounds coming on “One Two”.

Ever wondered what dubstep would sound like if it was produced by promiscuous zombies? It may sound very similar to the works of Borgore, who makes heavy dubstep tracks featuring some of his own rapping as well as some sexy female vocals. “Borgore Ruined Dubstep EP – Part 1″ is the first EP from his new label Buygore. Check out my favorite from the release, Nympho.

If you’re a loyal follower of this blog or know me personally then you should be familiar with my obsession of James Blake’s music. His latest release is an EP titled CMYK on R&S Recordings. The use of negative space and silence builds so much tension alongside soulful chords that leaves the listener with a wonderful feeling. Check out the title track below which features some skewed samples of Aaliyah and Kelis.

Adult Swim is offering 8 new singles every week which you can find here. This week’s single is a Mike Bigga (aka Killer Mike) track produced by Flying Lotus. I can’t wait to hear more hip hop like this in the future.

So I just realized I never wrote a post about the new Flying Lotus album, Cosmogramma, when it came out about a month ago. His style has evolved even further with this release with a lot more emphasis on the actual composition of his music. Plenty of live instruments are sprinkled throughout the album from a few features including Thom Yorke from Radiohead. Check out one of my favorites from the album below.

Juj is another ill producer from the Wedidit Collective, and for those unfamiliar its a group of producers and artists from the West Coast including Shlohmo. Mbira Spirit is one of those beats I just can’t stop listening to..check it.

Mathis Mootz, aka The Panacea, is considerably beast in the hardcore rave scene and completely sodomizes the rave jungle sound. His new album “Chiropteran” (off of his own label: Position Chrome) is no exception and this track is the perfect example. With a brain-cracking style of mixing and some of the most epic collaboration works, I hope that he can find it in his heart to come spin in my neighborhood…
