Curren$y’s first album on a major label, Pilot Talk, finally came out this week after being delayed. It’s full of features including Snoop Dogg, Mikey Rocks, Mos Def, Jay Electronica, Devin the Dude and others. Check out “King Kong” with one of those fresh hooks that Curren$y is known for.

Big Hud is a local Dallas Hip Hop artist and the founder/C.E.O. of Big Boi Music Group and co founder of Still Hungry Entertainment. He’s got some dope tunes out, so be on the lookout for big things from this guy in 2010. And seeing how it is almost 100 degrees out now, might as well start posting up some D-Town summer anthems. The first video is Curren$y & Big Hud – Summertime Shit and the second is Big Hud’s official video for “Whats Wrong Wit Dem?”.
Adult Swim is offering 8 new singles every week which you can find here. This week’s single is a Mike Bigga (aka Killer Mike) track produced by Flying Lotus. I can’t wait to hear more hip hop like this in the future.

The Cool Kids always seem to be on a whole new level when it comes to freshness. Chuck Inglish produced almost every track on this tape and his style of beats is straight crack, just listen to Gettin’ Flicked below. You can download the whole thing at http://www.coolxkids.com

So Jay Electronica is now my favorite MC and he should probably be yours too. Download this mixtape that DJ Dub and Furious Styles just released and you’ll understand why.

You know that West Coast track with the chorus that you probably don’t understand except for the part that’s like “No Hoe No Hoe No Hoe”, yeah that’s D-Lo’s “No Hoe” which is somewhat of a jerkin anthem for some people. Snoop Dogg put down a legit verse on it, although I do wish he would have stuck to the original subject matter about snatching hoes and displaying them out on the streets in any kind of weather, whether rain or snow.

A Christmas gift from Don Cannon and The Cool Kids? How thoughtful of them to give us this little mixtape (and luckily none of the songs are Christmas themed, so you won’t feel weird listening to this tomorrow). You can download and preview it over at www.djdoncannon.com, but it was taking forever to load for me so feel free to grab it here.

I remember when I first heard about The Cool Kids and The Bloody Beetroots collaborating. I seriously didn’t believe it was true, but I was wrong. Their track “Awesome” ended up being released on the album Romborama. Check out this remix by fellow Italians Men In Skratch.
